Steve: What's up Sam?  How are things in So Cal?

Sammy: What up Skindle. Things in SoCal are always good, dope weather all year round! There is always plenty of girls that’s for sure. The spots are cool mostly the same stuff over and over but it gets the best out of you.

Steve: You’ve been busy. The Turf video wasn't that long ago and you already dropped another part in Proof.  Tell us about filming for that.

Sammy: I was just filming a lot trying to stay focused and ended up meeting Nigel a little while before it was supposed to come out. I asked him if I could get a part in it and he was down – Good looks Nigel. Steve Kindle also talked to him a little about me getting in so thanks Steve.  It was all LA so it was kinda hard just because LA is so tore up when it comes to skate spots you know "who did what where" but when you do get something you know it is worth it. It was just my friend Amrit and myself slaving in the streets - thanks Amrit.

Steve: They opened that new Safe Spot in LA, what do you think of that?

Sammy: The spot is really dope, It’s all street related no quarter pipes or anything stupid. It gets a little crowded after school but other than that it’s super fun. Shout out to dyrdek! LA really needs it.

Steve: I heard you're gonna be working on a another project in New York soon, can you tell us about that?

Sammy: I'm working on a new video with my friend Amrit Jain he did Like Brothers. It should be real fresh all in the streets like real grimey. New York is gonna be the start so hopefully it goes well. I cant wait I love New York for real.

Steve: Are you gonna take some time to chill after that?

Sammy: There is never any time to chill. You ask someone about chillin’ and they'll say you’re always chillin’ – that’s why you skate. It’s a sevend day weekend. These days the game is like Sports Center it’s about who’s got the top 10 plays this week, not last week. So lots more work to do, never finished. It’s all good though, my life revolves around it!

Steve: We know you like to keep your gear "so fresh and so clean", what companies are you rockin’ these days?

Sammy: Jus Liv clothing, Diamond Supply Co, Turf Skateboards, FTC, Supreme, DC, and Venture. Ilike it ya dig.

Steve: Santa Barbara is pretty well known for getting wild. Can you leave us with a good Santa Barbara story?

Sammy: Out in Isla Vista by UCSB there is always crazy stuff going on like people falling off the cliff to the beach, nonstop fighting, and bike stealing. One time my friend got in a fight and whooped on this guy, the we were walking away and his friend starts running towards us and my friend just threw one punch and put the guy to sleep in the middle of the street it was crazy. Another time I seen Andre Nickatina doing a show on a balcony just randomly..

Steve: Any thanks to wrap this up?

Sammy: Leland and Steve for hookin’ this interview up, Priebes at Jus Liv, Joey Jimmy, and Nick at Diamond. Jimmy at DC, York at Turf, Ando at FTC, Curtis at Supreme, Amrit thanks for slavin with me, Vevas the beat was sick, P Rod and Nigel thanks for the opppurtunity. Gino and Keenan for the inspiration...every skateboarder!!!
