This past weekend some of the Zoo York team stopped through SF on a filming mission for their upcomming video. Due to high winds and heavy rain, we got a chance to catch up with the crew over tappas and several pitchers of sangria. The following interview with Lamar Hemmings, Zered Basset, RB Umali, Eli Reed, and Team Manager Seamus Deegan gives some insight into what Zoo's got in the works for 2008.

48 Blocks: What Brings you guys to SF?

Lamar: We're out here skating, trying to film for the Zoo video.

48 Blocks: What's up with the video, when is it coming out?

Lamar: It's coming out this summer hopefully, we're still working on it.

48 Blocks: Where have you been traveling to film for this so far?

Zered: China, Australia, pretty much everywhere.

48 Blocks: What's the next destination?

Seemus: We got South Africa coming up in April, we got Europe all through June, and of course New York in May.We're gonna stay in the city all through May because the weather is perfect.

48 Blocks: You guys have been killing it with the podcasts. What can we look forward to seeing on the internet from Zoo?

RB: We got a new Zoo Thousand Eight podcast coming out this year, check it out in the Itunes store. Also Zootube, our youtube channel.

48 Blocks: Eli Reed, what have you been up to lately?

Eli: Chillin Man. I was in LA a little bit this winter, but I'm gonna go back to New York this spring and probably just kick it there for awhile.

48 Blocks: What have you been working on besides the Zoo video?

Eli: Pretty much just getting as many photos as I can get into any magazine. I've also been working on some interviews. But pretty much just the Zoo video now, I'm putting all the footage that I already had towards that.

48 Blocks: Zered and Lamar, both you guys are skating for DVS what are they working on right now?

Lamar: We're working on the Original Intent video. That's the next project that we're working on besides the Zoo video.

48 Blocks: How's the Bay been treating you guys so far?

Zered: A little rainy, but good.

48 Blocks: When was the last time that you were out here?

Zared: Probably a year ago maybe, yeah about a year ago.

48 Blocks: I'm sure the question that everyone wants answered right now is what's up with the Jenna Jameson collab? That's been all over the internet lately.

Seemus: Oh man you're puttinng me on the spot with that one.

Zered: Yeah, what is that all about?

Seemus: Without saying too much, I'm not sure what I can say and what I can't; but yeah there's a collab going. An agency kind of got out of control and dropped something on the internet without approval from us in the office. I can't say too much more, but basically there's a collab coming out. The board is looking dope but there was a little unauthorized usage of an ad.

48 Blocks: Is there going to be nudity on the board?

Seemus: Awww, you gotta talk to Jenna's people about that one. She's trying to clean up her image.

48 Blocks: What other types of collabs are you guys getting into?

Seemus: This year we just came out with a collab with Ghostface for the album he just had. It's a board and a t-shirt. The product is just getting out there right now. Obviously the Jenna one that kind of came out a little earlier than we wanted. We have something in the works with DJ A-Trak which will be dropping later in the year.

48 Blocks: Why haven't we seen any of the old videos like Mixtape released on DVD?

RB: No comment. (Laughs) Check my Myspace page.

48 Blocks: Cool, I think we got a cool little quick thing. Anything you guys want to say to wrap this up?

Seemus: We're hyped to be out in SF right now and see all of you guys. It's gonna be a big year for us, Zoo Thousand Eight. We got some heavy hitters on the team, we're welcoming Eli to the team this year. (everyone applauds) The Zoo video will be dropping at the end of the year. Check the website, check the podcast.

RB: I'm working on my Chomp 2 part, maybe I'll give you some scraps.

48 Blocks: Any Last words Eli Lamar, and Zered?

Eli: We're gonna do it biiiiig!
